The UK Healthy Cities Network had a successful first event of Phase VII of Healthy Cities as we brought together representatives from 9 cities across the network to focus on the 6Ps.

We were also delighted to be joined by Elisabeth Bengtsson, from World Health Organisation, who outlined the key goals, themes and issues for Phase VII, as well as talking us through the application process for designation.

Representatives from a range of roles were present at the meeting, including from public health, policy and partnerships.  We were also joined by Healthy Cities political leads, whose experience and perspective was highly valuable.

We heard presentations on health literacy, physical activity and holiday hunger and had the opportunity to discuss next steps for the network over the coming months.
